This winter had to be one of the most obnoxious winters to hit NYC. The weather seemed to have trouble making up it’s mind so stocking photos seemed super tough this time around. I know, I know… there’s all those House of Van’s skate nights where I could have been “exercising my eye” but let’s be honest, I’ve never been a skatepark kind of person. It’s the streets where I picked up skateboarding and it is through skateboarding that I found photography. To me, the streets go hand in hand with my own favorite American pastimes and I just can’t ever imagine it any other way. To have the weather finally coming around is a dream come true to be honest….it means finally getting back to the photo grind and documenting some of NYC’s finest. Speaking of NYC’s finest, here are some flicks that needed some shine! -Darnell Scott
