Piro in NYC nollies a bump after hurricane Irene

Colin Read and Tommy Saint Germain came across this spot a week or so ago in Ft. Greene. Pretty damn perfect spot. This past weekend Piro and I met up with Colin, Nic Nootens, and Eby Ghafarian and decided to go take a look at this new spot. Being from Florida I am pretty used to serious storms and hurricanes. Well… this so called hurricane Irene that ripped through NY recently with its 40mph winds took this tree out of the ground and forced the slab of concrete into a perfect bump. They used the fence that was surrounding the tree (before those “fierce” winds took it down) for blocking the hazard with caution tape. We removed the piece of tape that covered the front of the spot and voila! A fresh ass spot! The lady on the right side of the frame was pretty much over us skating because it was loud. It’s NYC though it’s always loud. So we managed to get a good 45 minutes or so at this spot and two other tricks including this large ass nollie. Unfortunately I don’t have flashes anymore because our van got broken into twice while in Canada with Naysayer Skateboards. So here is Piro Sierra crushing it in good ol’ natural light. -Ben Kilpatrick
