Shane and I got this sequence about a year ago. I was living in Titusville, FL and was going up to Gainesville to visit some homies for the weekend, and Shane is always down for the road so he came along for the ride. We had plans to hit this spot the whole time, but kept getting sidetracked and ended up waiting until early Sunday morning (early being about 8 AM, Shane and I are both early birds).
The spot is kind of sketchy. It’s at a huge middle school that’s kind of out in the sticks, but to get to this 4 block you have to hop a fence that’s pretty close to the road (which we almost found out the hard way is a federal offense). When we first got to the school there were a few cars in the parking lot, so we killed some time skating a ditch that’s right across the road. As soon as they left, we hopped the fence and got to business. There are some serious ABDs at this spot (switch 360 flip, backside flip, impossible, switch shove, etc.), but I was telling Shane that to the best of my knowledge nothing had ever been done nollie or fakie. One reason for this is the run-up, which is a skinny downhill sidewalk with a gross crack and a piece that flattens out right where you have to pop. Fortunately for us, Shane landed this nollie bigspin 5th try and we got out of there. One month later it was an ad for Newblood Skateshop. -Scott Kramer
